ISO Accreditation

In December 1994 Nephco Limited achieved the Quality Award ISO 9002 and the following year gained ISO 9001 to cover the design, construction, supply and maintenance for the special environments required to facilitate kidney dialysis of patients in hospitals, specialist dialysis units and patients homes. The accreditation was updated in 2003 to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. It also covered the design, construction, supply and maintenance of other medical environments in hospitals and related premises and to this end Nephco has undertaken refurbishment of Children's wards, Medical Records and CSSD, the relocation of a Dietitian's services and the upgrading of a Maternity ward in London hospitals.

Health Building Note 53

In 1996 Nephco Ltd assisted in the compilation of Health Building Note (HBN) 53, a guide to the planning and design of satellite dialysis units aimed at multi-disciplinary teams engaged in designing new buildings and adapting or extending existing buildings for renal use.
